BRYAN STARS CONTROVERSY
On July 9th, 2010 the famous YouTube interviewer Bryan Stars sat down with Never Shout Never for the first time. They did a half hour interview revolving around personal and musical questions. The interview was very goofy, it involved a lot of jokes and laughter. This interview encouraged Bryan Stars to contact the band for a second interview. The second interview however was nothing like the first one. May 26th, 2012 they met again and the interview instantly started on a bad note. The band instantly accused Bryan Stars on starting rumors that the band will break up. The band wanted to do only serious questions and strictly focused on music. Bryan Stars actually cried and included that on the video to show that he was hurt by what occurred and claimed Never Shout Never changed. They both parted ways in bad terms. The interview started a threat of negative comments towards the band. In result Never Shout Never lost a lot of fans.
Finally, February 10,2015 – 3 years later Never Shout Never’s manager contacted Bryan Stars and asked him to do another interview. He agreed, and they did their latest one. In this interview they both decided to clear the air and become friends again. Christofer Drew appeared alone and admitted that he was having a bad, stressful day when the last interviewed occurred. It had been a hometown show in Missouri and his family was attending so he felt pressured. He also admitted to have taken some sort of drug that made him act the way he did, he doesn’t specify what it was exactly. They both apologize to each other and admit to have wanted to make things better for a long time.
Some people argue that Christofer Drew’s management saw that the last interview negatively affected the band and wanted to fix the bad publicity. Bryan Stars however states in a comment that the interview is honest from both sides and that they are no longer in conflict.
